NBCC (India) has secured work orders worth approximately ₹235.46 crore. The announcement was made on November 1, 2024.
What Happened: The state-owned construction company has bagged three contracts. The first contract, valued at ₹44 crore, is for the construction of a multipurpose examination hall cum innovation centre at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University in Varanasi.

The second contract, worth ₹5 crore, involves the repair and renovation of Panani Bhawan/academic block at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, also in Varanasi. The third and largest contract, valued at ₹186.46 crore, is for the renovation of the Power Grid Corporation of India‘s corporate office building in Gurugram, Haryana.
This recent development follows a series of successful contract acquisitions by NBCC (India) Limited. On October 10, 2024, the company’s subsidiary, Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), secured a work order worth approximately ₹1,000 crore for the Campus Development of Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, Maharashtra.
This was followed by another significant win on October 22, 2024, when HSCC (India) Limited, another subsidiary of NBCC (India) Limited, bagged work orders worth around ₹1,322.48 crore for hospital construction. On October 28, 2024, NBCC (India) announced the acquisition of redevelopment projects in Goa, valued at approximately ₹1,726 crore.
