NBCC (India) Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), has secured a work order worth approximately ₹1,000 crore.
What Happened: The contract is for the Campus Development of Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Shares of the company that were trailing on Thursday shot up as soon as the announcement was made.
This latest contract follows a series of successful bids by NBCC and its subsidiaries. Earlier today, NBCC secured a ₹198 crore solar project for the Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand. Earlier in the month, the company bagged a ₹50 crore work order for the construction of an Integrated Sports Complex in Odisha.

The company also secured new work orders estimated at ₹47.04 crore, including the SIDBI Vashi Redevelopment Project and Operation & Maintenance works at the International Craft Complex in New Delhi.
In September, NBCC bagged a ₹101 crore work order from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for constructing permanent office buildings for its Regional Offices (ROs) and Project Implementation Units (PIUs).
Price Action: NBCC’s share price was up 1.24% to close at ₹117.60
