On Tuesday, Nifty 50 ended up flat, gaining 0.02% to 23,264.85. ONGC stood out as the top gainer, while Kotak Mahindra Bank was the biggest loser.

Shares of ONGC surged by 5.56%, making it the day’s standout performer on the NIFTY 50. This surge is attributed to a strong recommendation from the global research firm Jefferies, which retained its “buy” call on ONGC. The firm’s positive outlook is based on the central government’s policy continuity, expected to sustain ONGC’s profitability.
