Ola Founder's Valentine's Day Gift: Major Discounts On Entire S1 Electric Scooter Range

Ola Electric has slashed the prices of its S1 range of electric scooters by up to ₹25,000, the company announced on Friday. These revised prices are effective only for February, signalling a temporary opportunity for prospective buyers.

What to know? The cost reductions are notable. The Ola S1 X+ now comes at ₹84,999, down from ₹1.09 lakh, while the Ola S1 Air has dropped to ₹1.05 lakh from ₹1.19 lakh. The Ola S1 Pro sees a reduction to ₹1.30 lakh from the earlier ₹1.48 lakh.

Ola’s ambitious plans include deploying 10,000 electric two-wheelers across three cities by year-end, with a vision to expand nationwide. The company claims to have the largest electric two-wheeler (EV 2W) fleet in India with these additions.

Supported by Softbank and Tiger Global, Ola Electric has also enhanced its customer offering by extending the warranty for all scooter variants. The new warranty covers 80,000 kilometres (km) or 8 years, a significant jump from the previous 40,000 km or 3 years.

This extended warranty, which is transferable upon change of ownership, comes at no additional cost. Additionally, customers can opt for an even longer warranty of up to 1,25,000 kilometres for an extra charge, according to Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and managing director of Ola.

Ola Electric initially introduced the S1 X model on August 15 last year, alongside plans for four electric bike variants by the end of 2024. When queried about the progress of these electric bikes, Aggarwal hinted that they would be available “soon.”
