Here's What Cred's Kunal Shah Asked Sam Altman To Create With OpenAI's New Video AI Tool Sora

ChatGPT creator OpenAI unveiled a brand new AI-powered video generation model called Sora, which is currently undergoing testing and is available to a limited number of creators.

However, CEO Sam Altman opened up the powerful AI tool to netizens on social media platform X, who could offer prompts and view how efficiently and faithfully the new text-to-video tool could produce life-like videos via AI.

What Happened: Cred CEO Kunal Shah also got in on the action and requested the OpenAI CEO to prompt the tool to create a “A bicycle race on ocean with different animals as athletes riding the bicycles with drone camera view”.

The results were remarkable, with the model being able to generate the request with great detail and near-perfect physics simulation—even though riding a bicycle on water breaks a few physical laws to begin with.

The video depicts several marine animals, including penguins, tortoises and dolphins riding bikes in the ocean. Although a few weird things are going on —like a shark floating in the sky— the output is representative of the model’s extraordinary ability to generate videos that have accurate lighting, reflections and movement.

Here are a few more examples of the new tool in action:
