Indian Space Research Organisation‘s official account on X (formerly Twitter) added around 12 lakh followers in the past 30 days.
Only two accounts gained more followers than ISRO. At number one was Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who added around 33 lakh followers, and following him was the tokyometro_info account which added around 15 lakh Twitter followers.
ISRO beat many other popular accounts such as MrBeast, Donald Trump and NASA. Narendra Modi grabbed the 10th spot on the list, as he added 6.27 lakh followers in the past 30 days.

Ever since the Chandrayaan successfully landed on the moon, ISRO has been garnering praise from all across the world. The space agency’s efforts made India the first country in the world to land near the dark side of the moon.
Since the landing on August 23, the agency’s follower count has gone up from 66 lakh to 71 lakh currently on X. During the same time, the agency’s YouTube account grew from 38.2 lakh subscribers to 45.4 lakh subscribers.
