Reliance’s broadcast venture has partnered with Warner Bros Discovery to bring popular Hollywood content onto its streaming platform JioCinema, per a media report.
What Happened? According to an Economic Times report, the deal between Reliance’s Viacom18 and Warner Bros will make the latter’s HBO content, including popular shows such as Succession, Game of Thrones, and the upcoming Harry Potter series, available on the JioCinema app.
ET’s sources did not disclose the financials of the deal, however, one of the sources mentioned that the partnership will be exclusive, making JioCinema the sole platform for most of Warner’s marquee content in India.
