A fire incident at a Tata Electronics factory in Tamil Nadu, known for manufacturing Apple iPhone components, is currently under scrutiny by authorities, as per a Reuters report.

What Happened: A fire broke out at a Tata Electronics factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday, according to media reports. The factory, which is a key supplier of components for Apple iPhones, was closed on Sunday and is not expected to resume operations by Monday, said the report quoting sources.

Neither Tata Electronics nor Apple has issued a statement regarding the incident. The fire reportedly originated in a section of the plant used for storing chemicals, a fire official disclosed. The fire has been fully extinguished and the fumes have dissipated, confirmed district administrative official K.M. Sarayu.

Two workers, who were admitted to the hospital following the incident, are anticipated to be discharged on Sunday. A forensic team from Chennai has been deployed to investigate the cause of the fire, Sarayu added.

As per reports, the fire broke out at a chemical godown located on the factory campus early Saturday morning. Seven fire tenders were dispatched to control the blaze. The incident did not result in any casualties or injuries.
