Power Grid Corporation of India reported its earnings for the quarter ended September on Wednesday evening.
What Happened: The company's net profit for the quarter under review stood at ₹3,793 crore, slightly up from the ₹3,781 crore posted in the same quarter last year.
The company's revenue from operations also remained flat year-on-year, coming in at ₹11,277.76 crore, compared to the ₹11,267 crore posted in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company also announced its first interim dividend of ₹4.50 per share for the year ending March 2025. The record date for payment of the dividend is Thursday, November 14, 2024.
The transmission segment’s revenue for the September quarter stood at ₹11,197.59 crore, an increase from ₹10,727.97 crore in the June quarter and ₹10,991.96 crore in the same quarter last year.
The consultancy segment generated ₹194.62 crore in revenue for the September quarter, up from ₹184.21 crore in the June quarter and ₹181.61 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from the telecom segment was ₹305.07 crore, growing from ₹245.84 crore in the June quarter and ₹224.99 crore in the same quarter last year.
Price Action: Power Grid Corp’s share price was up 0.6% to close at 318.50 on Wednesday.
