The White House has extended Diwali greetings, emphasising the power of coming together during the festival of lights, in a recent tweet.
What Happened: The official Twitter handle of the White House posted a tweet on Thursday, October 31, wishing everyone a happy Diwali. The tweet read, “Happy Diwali from the White House! Together, may we show the power in the gathering of light.”
The White House Military Band also played the instrumental version of the song “Om Jai Jagdeesh Hare” as shown by a tweet from Gita Gopinath, the first deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
