Indian Energy Exchange released its shareholding data for the September quarter.
What Happened: Mutual funds increased their shareholding in IEX to 24.82% from 24.23%. ICICI Prudential Multicap fund picked up a 1.60% stake in the company during the quarter and Canara Robeco Mutual Fund also entered the stock with a 1.08% stake.
Mirae Asset Mutual Fund reduced its stake from 3.31% in the June quarter to 2.96% in the quarter. LIC's shareholding in the company was unchanged at 4.08%.

FIIs increased their ownership in the stock to 15.66% from 11.67%. The number of foreign investors in the stock also increased to 212 from 154 in the June quarter. Shareholding of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Aquamarine Master Fund LP remained unchanged in the stock at 1.63% and 1.48% respectively.
Retail investors' shareholding in the company fell to 29.99% from 34.45% in the previous year. The number of retail investors fell from 14.85 lakh to 14.44 lakh.
IEX’s shares have been under pressure as reports said the government is going ahead with market coupling for power exchanges.
Price Action: Shares of IEX rose 1.21% to ₹193.92 on Wednesday.
