Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been declared the lowest bidder for a project tendered by East Central Railway.

What Happened: RVNL on Monday afternoon disclosed to the exchanges that it has been declared the lowest bidder for a project involving the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 2×25 kilovolt feeder line along the track with 25-kilovolt overhead equipment modification works.

The project aims to meet a 3000 MT loading target for the UP & DN line of the Garwa Road – Mahadiya Section of the Dhanbad Division under East Central Railway. The project, valued at over ₹180 crore is expected to be completed within 18 months.

This news comes on the heels of the company entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Engineers India to identify and bid for global infrastructure projects. This partnership aimed to leverage the expertise of both organizations to meet specific industry requirements.

RVNL had reportedly won contracts for the Nagpur Metro Phase-2 project. The orders are worth over ₹800 crore.

Price Action: RVNL’s share price was down 0.90% to trade at ₹521.60 in the late hours of trading on Monday.
