HSCC (India) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NBCC (India) Limited, has secured a project worth ₹1,261 crore from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
What Happened: The announcement was made by NBCC on Monday afternoon. The project entails the establishment of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga, Bihar.
The awarded work could contribute to the ongoing development of healthcare infrastructure in Bihar, one of India’s most populous states.

This latest project win comes on the heels of a series of successful contracts for NBCC. Earlier this month, the company’s share price surged after it inked a deal with Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) to develop a significant land parcel in New Delhi, a project estimated to be worth around ₹1,600 crore.
Earlier in September, NBCC also secured work orders worth ₹182.50 crore for various construction projects.
Price Action: Shares of the construction major shot up as soon as the announcement was made. NBCC’s share price was up 2.15% to trade at ₹177.81 on Monday afternoon.
