In a bid to boost sales, Tata Motors has launched its “festival of cars” campaign, offering substantial discounts across its range of cars and sports utility vehicles until October 31.

What Happened: Tata Motors is providing discounts of up to ₹2.05 lakh on select internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, including petrol, diesel and CNG variants.

Notable models such as the Tiago, Altroz, Nexon, Harrier and Safari are available at discounted prices. The Tiago is priced starting at ₹4.99 lakh, the Altroz at ₹6.49 lakh, the Nexon at ₹7.99 lakh, the Harrier at ₹14.99 lakh, and the Safari at ₹15.49 lakh.

Customers can also avail discounts on other variants, with reductions ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹1.8 lakh, depending on the model. An exchange offer of up to ₹45,000 on select models is also available at the auto major’s showrooms across the country.

Vivek Srivatsa, chief commercial officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, announced the offers, stating, “With total benefits of up to ₹2.05 lakh on ICE vehicles, this year's festive celebration includes limited-time attractive price reductions, along with attractive exchange and cash benefits.”

The discount campaign comes at a time when Tata Motors has been grappling with declining sales. In August 2024, the company’s sales fell by 8%, missing analysts’ estimates. In August 2024, the company increased discounts on its Nexon EV range by up to ₹60,000 to attract buyers.

Furthermore, the company’s best-selling models, Punch and Nexon, slipped to the 5th and 10th spots respectively in the best-selling cars list in August 2024.
