Mazagon Dock, BEML Among Top Nifty 500 Gainers

On Wednesday, Nifty 500 fell 0.17% to 23,748.90. 245 stocks gained while 249 declined and 1 remained unchanged.

Leading the pack of top performers was CCL Products India, which saw a whopping 15.28% increase in its stock price. The stock closed at ₹832.0, a significant jump from its last close at ₹721.7.

Not far behind was Piramal Pharma, which registered a 10.32% increase. The stock closed at ₹213.03, up from its previous close at ₹193.1.

Another notable gainer was Jubilant Ingrevia, which saw a 10.18% rise in its stock price. The stock ended the day at ₹742.35, compared to its last close at ₹673.75.

Mazagon Dock and BEML also had a strong session, gaining by 7.19% and 6.65% respectively. Defence stocks gained after the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) approved major procurements worth ₹1.44 lakh crore for the Indian Armed Forces.

On the other hand, Oil India was the biggest loser of the day, with a 6.52% decrease in its stock price. The stock closed at ₹682.25, down from its previous close at INR 729.85.

General Insurance Corporation of India also experienced a significant dip, with a 5.64% decrease in its stock price. The stock ended the day at ₹397.85, down from its last close at ₹421.65.

Other notable losers included KSB, RBL Bank and Godfrey Phillips India which saw a decrease of 5.07%, 4.04% and 4.02% in their stock prices, respectively.
