Payments gateway Razorpay’s founders ranked as the youngest billionaires in the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, released on Thursday.

What Happened: Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar, both aged 33, were the youngest billionaires in the list with a cumulative wealth of ₹8,700 crore each.

Mathur, who is also the CEO of Razorpay, founded the fintech firm in 2014. The company is now reportedly valued at over $7 billion (₹58,730 crore).

The youngest entrepreneur to feature on the list was Kaivalya Vohra, the 21-year-old co-founder of quick commerce platform Zepto. He was followed by the 22-year-old Zepto co-founder and CEO Aadit Palicha. their combined wealth stood at ₹7,900 crore.

The co-founder of BharatPe, 26-year-old Shashvat Nakrani, ranked fourth among the youngest entrepreneurs with a total wealth of ₹1,300 crore. OYO‘s 30-year-old founder Ritesh Agarwal also made it to the list, whose total wealth stood at ₹1,900 crore.

This is the first time the Hurun India Rich List has included over 1,500 entries, all of whom have wealth exceeding ₹1,000 crore. In 2023, India created a new billionaire every five days, the report highlighted.
