Yes Bank CEO Prashant Kumar saw his salary for the year ended March 2024 go up by around 8%.
Kumar was paid a total salary of ₹3.77 crore, compared to the ₹3.5 crore renumeration he took home in the year ended March 2023. Kumar’s basic salary and allowance were at 2.14 crore and performance-linked incentives came in at 1.11 crore. His salary was 47 times greater than the median salary of the bank.

Executive Director Rajan Pental was paid a total salary of 4.11 crore. His basic salary was around ₹3.01 crore. Pental’s salary was 51 times greater than the company’s median salary.
The median remuneration of the employees in the financial year increased by 13.97%. There were 28,001 employees as at March 31, 2024.
Kumar was appointed managing director & chief executive officer of Yes Bank in March 2020, following the bank’s reconstruction. Before joining Yes Bank, Kumar was deputy managing director and CFO of State Bank of India (SBI). He was with SBI for over three decades.
