Tata Motors has announced a significant milestone of having more than 20 lakh SUVs on Indian roads.

What Happened: The company has launched a "King of SUVs" festival to mark the occasion, it said in a press release on Tuesday. Tata is offering revised starting prices for its flagship SUVs, the Harrier and the Safari, and extended benefits of up to ₹1.40 lakh on its range of SUVs.

Tata’s extensive SUV portfolio, which includes models like Safari, Harrier, Nexon, Punch, Sierra, and Safari, has been instrumental in achieving this milestone, it said.

"Celebrating this achievement, we are excited to extend this joy to our customers with the King of SUVs festival. We have revised the starting prices of our flagship SUVs, the Harrier (₹14.99 lakhs) and the Safari (₹15.49) and have extended benefits up to ₹ 1.4 Lakhs on popular SUV variants." Vivek Srivatsa, chief commercial officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility said.

The development coincides with Tata Punch reclaiming the top spot as the best-selling car in India in June, as per sales data. The car sold 18,238 units in June, marking a 65% increase from the same month last year. The Tata Nexon also made a comeback in the top 10 list in June.

Tata Motors is expected to release its results for the quarter ended June in the last week of July or early August. The company’s global wholesales grew 2% year-on-year in the quarter ended June, it said on Monday. Tata Motors sold 3.29 lakh vehicles including Jaguar Land Rover in the April-June period.

Price Action: Tata Motors settled 1.15% higher at ₹1,014.15 on Tuesday.
