Bajaj Auto has unveiled the “world’s first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) motorcycle”, the Bajaj Freedom. The company has highlighted the motorcycle’s cost-effective and eco-friendly features as key selling points.
What Happened: The company has said that this innovative motorcycle could reduce operating costs by up to 50% compared to similar Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) motorcycles. The Bajaj Freedom also features a dual-fuel capability with an auxiliary petrol tank of 2 litres, providing a combined range of 330 kilometres.

The motorcycle is equipped with LED headlamps, digital speedometers, and Bluetooth connectivity. The CNG tank is securely housed in a trellis chassis for maximum safety. The motorcycle is available in three variants, with prices starting from ₹95,000 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
