Anand Mahindra, chairman of Tech Mahindra, saw a meagre jump in his salary for the year ended March 2024.

As per the company’s annual report, the 69-year-old took home a total remuneration of ₹1.41 crore. This is around a 1.5% increase from the ₹1.39 crore he was paid for the year ended March 2023. His salary was 21 times greater than the median salary of the tech major. He owns 1.88 lakh shares of the company.

As per the report, the company’s median salary is around ₹6.63 lakh. The company had over 1.10 lakh permanent employees at the end of March 2024.

Mahindra graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College in 1977 and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1981. The billionaire has served on several influential bodies, such as the UN Global Compact Board, the Global Board of Advisors of the Council on Foreign Relations, and the World Bank Group's Advisory Board for Doing Business.

He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honour, in 2020. His international recognition includes being appointed a ‘Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honour' by the President of France in 2016 and being conferred the ‘Grand Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy’ by the President of Italy in 2013.

The company’s outgoing CEO, CP Gurnani‘s salary for the last year was around ₹92 crore. He retired in December 2023.
