Google‘s CEO, Sundar Pichai and Microsoft‘s Satya Nadella took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate India’s thrilling victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa.

What Happened: Pichai, an avid cricket fan, expressed his excitement over India’s win in the T20 World Cup final. He tweeted, “what a game, could barely breathe, everything that makes sports incredible. Congrats India, so well deserved! SA was incredible. Amazing #WorldT20” on Saturday.

His joy was matched by fellow tech titan Nadella who not only wished the men in blue but also hoped for more cricket to be played in the USA and Caribbean. Nadella has always been an avid supporter of the game, he expressed similar enthusiasm during the 50-over World Cup last year as well.

India clinched the title by defeating South Africa in a nail-biting final match, marking a significant moment in the nation’s cricket history. With this win, the country had ended the 11-year-long drought for an ICC trophy.
