13-year-old Indian prodigy Shaurya Gupta had the opportunity to meet Apple CEO Tim Cook at the Apple WWDC 2024 event. Gupta’s meeting with Cook came after he won the Apple Swift Student Challenge for his educational app creation.

What Happened: Gupta, one of the 350 winners of the Apple Swift Student Challenge 2024, shared a selfie with Cook on social media, captioned "Mission Completed #WWDC". The post has since gone viral, with over 7,000 likes and 240,000 views.

The young genius’s winning creation is an app named ‘Fizzix’, which aims to simplify Newton's three laws of motion for students through engaging mini-games and quizzes. The prize for his achievement includes a one-year membership in the Apple Development Program and a pair of AirPods Max headphones.

During the event, Gupta also had the chance to meet several other renowned figures in the tech industry, including MKBHD, Swift programming author Paul Hudson, and Apple VP Susan Prescott.

Earlier, Cook also met another Indian winner of the Apple Swift Student Challenge, Akshat Srivastava, during his visit to the company’s headquarters.
