After the election results came out last week, Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar have been all over the internet and headlines. This surge in popularity is also seen in the growth of their followers in X (formerly Twitter).
What Happened: As per the social media stats website Social Blade, the new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh gained over 1 lakh followers between June 5 and June 11.
The biggest follower jump was witnessed on June 6, when he gained over 40,000 followers. The jump is impressive because just the week prior, i.e. between May 29 and June 4 he gained around 3,600 followers.
His alliance member and Kumar saw followers jump over 60,000. He also witnessed the biggest jump on June 6, with over 20,000 followers. He had gained around 7,000 followers in the week prior.
However, they were both eclipsed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gained over 3.8 lakh followers in the same week. In the week prior he had gained around 2.4 lakh followers. In the last 30 days, he has added close to a million followers on the social media platform.
