As per a note from brokerage firm Phillip Capital, Vodafone Idea and Suzlon emerged as the top picks of mutual funds in the mid-cap category.
What Happened: As per data shared by the brokerage firm, mutual funds net bought Vodafone Idea 44.67 crore shares and 14.52 crore shares of wind energy major Suzlon. In the midcap segment, NHPC fell out of favour as mutual funds sold 7.70 crore shares of the PSU.
HDFC Bank, IRFC, and HDFC Life were the most-bought large-cap stocks by mutual funds. Ujjivan Small Finance Bank and Indiabulls Real Estate were among the top-bought small-cap stocks by mutual funds during the period. IRCON and RVNL emerged as the top picks of mutual funds in the Industrials basket.
