On Thursday, Nifty 50 closed 0.89% at 22,821.40 continuing to recover as Narendra Modi is set to return as prime minister for the third time despite BJP not getting a majority in the parliament. HCLTechnologies was the top gainer while Hindalco saw the biggest fall.
HCLTechnologies topped the Nifty with a 4% rise, as its price surged to ₹1397.50.

Tech Mahindra jumped 3.99% to ₹1317.45 from ₹1266.9. SBI Life and Shriram Finance also saw a surge in their prices by 3.79% and 3.66%. SBI rounded off the gainers with a 3.44% rise ending the day at ₹816.95

On the other end of the spectrum, Hindalco took a hit with a 2.55% decrease, bringing its price down to ₹677.50 from ₹695.25.
Hero MotoCorp followed with a 2.20% drop, closing at ₹5534.25. Hindustan Unilever and Asian Paints also experienced a dip in their prices by 2.04% and 1.92% respectively, ending the day at ₹2549.60 and ₹2904.80. Nestle India concluded the list of top losers with a 1.53% decrease, closing at ₹2471.40.
