Nvidia rallied to record highs in early June, with the artificial intelligence chipmaker’s valuation breaching the $3 trillion mark. This milestone allowed Nvidia to overtake Apple and become the world’s second-most valuable company. The chip giant also has several partnerships with Indian heavyweights. Here’s a look at some top Indian companies working with Nvidia.

Reliance

In September 2023, the AI giant announced partnering with India’s biggest company. Nvidia and Reliance Industries teamed up to develop a foundational large language model. This model will be trained on the diverse range of languages spoken across the country and is intended for generative AI applications tailored to the vast Indian population.

Tata Group

The company also announced partnering with India’s biggest conglomerate last year. Tata Group and Nvidia announced a collaboration to develop AI solutions and provide substantial AI computing infrastructure. This partnership involves constructing an AI supercomputer using Nvidia’s next-generation GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip to deliver superior performance. Additionally, Tata Communications and Nvidia will create an AI cloud in India, enhancing the country’s technological capabilities in artificial intelligence.

Infosys

Infosys partnered with U.S. chipmaker Nvidia to bring generative AI applications and solutions to enterprises. The collaboration aims to integrate Nvidia's AI Enterprise ecosystem — which includes models, tools, and GPU systems — into Infosys Topaz. This integration will enhance Infosys’ AI capabilities and enable businesses to leverage advanced AI technologies for improved performance and innovation.

Wipro

Wipro revealed its plans to join forces with Nvidia to enhance AI-driven strategies, services, and products for healthcare companies in September 2023. By leveraging Nvidia AI Enterprise software, Wipro aims to boost AI production across its existing portfolio of healthcare solutions. The collaboration will utilise the Nvidia AI platform, including Nvidia AI Foundation Models, for generative, speech, and translation AI applications. Integration with Wipro’s Enterprise Generative AI (WeGA) framework will enable the co-development and deployment of custom models tailored for speech and translation AI.

L&T Tech

L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) teamed up with tech giant Nvidia to revolutionise medical devices, specifically endoscopy. This collaboration focuses on enhancing image quality and making these devices more scalable and efficient. LTTS and Nvidia are developing a software-defined architecture to address major industry issues such as availability, cost, and dependency on custom hardware. This innovative architecture is designed to support multiple applications and provide real-time, crucial decision-making tools for medical professionals, significantly improving the efficiency and effectiveness of endoscopic procedures.
