In a recent incident at Pune Airport, a Delhi-bound Air India flight collided with a luggage tractor, causing significant damage to the aircraft and delaying the flight.
What Happened: The incident took place on Thursday as the aircraft was taxiing towards the runway for a 4 p.m. departure, the Free Press Journal reported, citing ANI. The collision resulted in damage to the aircraft’s nose and a tyre near the landing gear, leading to a delay in the flight and the deboarding of approximately 180 passengers.
An airport official confirmed that despite the collision, all passengers and crew members were safe. However, passengers were reportedly seated in the aircraft for over an hour without any communication from the crew about the incident. They were eventually informed about the collision and asked to disembark.
