Tata Stock Jumps 13% To Lead Nifty 500 Gainers

On Thursday, the NIFTY 500 index witnessed a mixed bag of performances, with some stocks making significant gains while others took a hit. The top performers were Tata Power, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), IIFL Finance, Tata Chemicals, and Rallis India.

Tata Power saw a 7.67% increase, closing at ₹425.25, up from its last close of ₹394.95. Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) followed closely with a 7.91% rise, ending the day at ₹89.95, a significant jump from its previous close of ₹83.35.

IIFL Finance also had a strong day, with its stock price increasing by 9.96% to ₹420.25, compared to its last close of ₹382.20. Tata Chemicals made a notable leap of 11.61%, closing at ₹1315.25, a substantial rise from its last close of ₹1178.45.

The star performer of the day was Rallis India, which saw a whopping 13.15% increase, closing at ₹287.80, a significant leap from its previous close of ₹254.35.

On the flip side, the stocks that faced a downturn included Mahindra & Mahindra, Rajesh Exports, Apollo Tyres, Kajaria Ceramics, and NLC India.

Mahindra & Mahindra saw a decrease of 3.71%, closing at ₹1897.55, down from its last close of ₹1970.65. Rajesh Exports followed with a 3.63% drop, ending the day at ₹317.70, down from its previous close of ₹329.65.

Apollo Tyres experienced a 3.47% decrease, closing at ₹516.70, compared to its last close of ₹535.30. Kajaria Ceramics also took a hit, with a 3.47% drop, closing at ₹1234.70, down from its last close of ₹1279.05.

The biggest loser of the day was NLC India, which saw a 3.44% decrease, closing at ₹218.75, down from its previous close of ₹226.55.
