C-DoT And Qualcomm Forge Partnership To Propel India's Telecom Self-Reliance

The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT), the telecom technology development centre of the Government of India, has teamed up with Qualcomm, aiming to bolster the country’s journey towards self-reliance in telecom solutions.

By bridging access to foundational technologies and expert guidance, C-DoT and Qualcomm are setting the stage for startups, OEMs, and academia to amplify their research and development endeavours and bring indigenous telecom solutions to market more swiftly.

Neeraj Mittal from the Department of Telecommunications lauds this move as a leap towards establishing India as a telecom leader, while C-DoT’s CEO, Rajkumar Upadhyay, envisions this partnership as a catalyst for an era rich in innovation.

Meanwhile, Savi Soin of Qualcomm India expresses eagerness to work closely with C-DoT and the Department of Telecommunications to support India’s growth, leveraging Qualcomm’s extensive R&D capabilities across the nation. Gautam Sheoran, another Qualcomm executive, echoes this excitement, emphasizing the potential to drive innovation and support India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem through this collaboration.
