Adani Group Stocks Lead Losers In The Nifty 50 Today

Thursday’s trading session on the NSE saw the Nifty 50 index bear witness to a series of intriguing stock movements. Among the top 5 performers, the auto manufacturing giant Mahindra & Mahindra stole the limelight with a 4.35% surge, closing at a price of ₹1,552.05.

Following M&M, the healthcare heavyweight Apollo Hospitals experienced a notable climb, with its shares ending the day at ₹5,297.60, marking a 3.65% rise from the previous close. The coal mining corporation, Coal India also contributed positively to the market, boasting a 1.94% hike in its stock price, which concluded at ₹323.55.

Power Grid Corporation of India, didn’t lag behind either. The corporation’s shares appreciated by 1.35%, closing at ₹209.80. Lastly, India’s biggest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, edged higher by 1.33%, landing at ₹3,173.90.

On the other side of the spectrum, Adani Enterprises topped the list of the bottom 5 performers. The company saw a 2% drop in its shares, which closed at ₹2,214.65.

FMCG behemoth Hindustan Unilever followed suit, declining by 1.69% and wrapping up at ₹2,476.70. Likewise, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone witnessed a 1.53% fall, closing at ₹806.20.

Further, consumer goods company Tata Consumer Products ended the day with a 1.47% dip, settling at ₹902.85. Lastly, oil and gas corporation ONGC also found itself among the day's top losers with a 1.36% decrease, finishing at ₹192.70.
