The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has teamed up with insurance giant SBI Life. This collaboration, spanning from 2023 to 2026, kicks off with the India-Australia ODI series starting Sept. 22.
What Happened? As per press release, Jay Shah, BCCI’s Honorary Secretary, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “SBI Life’s pursuit of excellence resonates with BCCI’s vision for the sport. As we gear up for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, this partnership promises to amplify the cricketing journey for fans and players.”
BCCI President Roger Binny echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the mutual goal of both entities to forge a robust alliance that propels Indian cricket to new heights. The financials of the deal were not disclosed.

“SBI Life stands as a beacon in the insurance world, and together, we’re poised to script a new chapter for Indian cricket,” he remarked.

While cricketing maestros Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli take a breather for the initial ODIs, KL Rahul will don the captain’s hat.
