At 16, while most of his peers engrossed themselves in their studies, Rakesh delivered newspapers. But his passion for learning never dimmed. He juggled work and education, ensuring neither suffered.

His stint at a call centre in Mindspace, Mumbai, while pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce from Clara’s College of Commerce, showcased his ability to balance work and studies seamlessly.

Kunbi’s corporate journey began with a role at a multinational banking company, followed by a successful tenure at Aegon Life Insurance, where he shone as the employee of the month three times in a row. His growing interest in sales and finance led him to LIC as a financial advisor. But Rakesh’s thirst for knowledge wasn’t quenched. He set his sights on an MBA, and with sheer determination, secured a seat at IIM Rohtak.

Today, as a part of the International Custody Coverage team at ICICI Bank in Mumbai, Rakesh reflects on his journey with pride. But he’s not just about personal achievements. Rakesh is driven by a desire to give back. He dreams of empowering underprivileged kids with education and guidance, ensuring they have the opportunities he had to fight for.
