The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained five individuals, and arrested Davinder Singh, Chief General Manager (Construction) of Gail India Ltd, in relation to a ₹50 lakh bribery case, as reported by IANS.

What Happened? Alongside the arrest, CBI is carrying out searches in Noida and Visakhapatnam, at properties associated with Gail India’s Executive Director and others involved in the case.

According to IANS, the accused allegedly accepted bribes in exchange for favouring the bribe giver in securing different Gail India projects. The CBI will present all the accused before a special CBI court and request their custodial remand.

They have not released additional details about the case yet.
