With this partnership, Reliance hopes to make use of Kalimarks strong network presence in the south and its manufacturing facilities. The partnership could help Reliance get a jump start in the ‘cola wars‘ against beverages giant Coca-Cola and Pepsico. As per the ET report, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance was also in talks of acquiring a majority stake in Kalimarks before buying Campa Cola from Pure Drinks.

An email sent to both RCPL and Kalimarks looking for comments on the said partnership was not answered at the time of publishing.
