Ratan Tata has issued a clarification amid media reports suggesting that the former Tata Sons chairperson has been hospitalised.
What Happened: In a post on social media platform X, Tata quashed the claims as “unfounded”. The billionaire industrialist said he is undergoing regular medical check-ups due to his age and related medical conditions. He thanked people for thinking of him but pleaded against spreading incorrect information.
“There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media Efrain from spreading misinformation,” Tata said in his statement.

Earlier in the day, reports said that the businessman and philanthropist was rushed to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after a medical scare related to an alleged drastic fall in his blood pressure. His post was filled with comments from well-wishers who further wished him better health and safety.
Tata, who is now 86 years old, stepped down as the chairman of the Tata Group in 2012 and was appointed Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons. He continues to head its charitable trusts, which comprises Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Allied Trusts and the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Allied Trusts.
