Reliance, Trent Among Top Losers As Nifty Falls For 2nd Straight Session

On Monday, Nifty 50 fell 1.41% to 25,810.85. 12 stocks gained while 38 declined in the session.

Leading the pack of gainers, JSW Steel saw a surge of 2.85% from its last close, currently trading at ₹1030.05. The steel manufacturing giant has managed to outshine its peers in today’s trading session.

Following closely is NTPC, the state-owned electric utilities company, which has seen a rise of 1.44% in its stock price. The stock is currently trading at ₹443.20, up from its last close of ₹436.90. NTPC shares gained after Jefferies maintained a bullish stance on the company, indicating an 11% upside.

Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, and Britannia Industries also performed well, with their stock prices increasing by 1.21%, 1.20%, and 1.11% respectively.

On the flip side, Hero MotoCorp has taken a hit with a 4.11% decrease in its stock price, making it the biggest loser of the day. The stock closed at ₹5712.40, down from its last close of ₹5957.35.

Trent, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank, and Bharat Electronics followed, each experiencing a decline in their stock prices.

Reliance fell over 3% on Monday, wiping out over ₹63,000 crore of gains. Trent and BEL also fell on their Nifty 50 debut.
