Two-wheeler maker Hero Motocorp reported its Q2 results on Thursday evening. The numbers were above consensus estimates.
What Happened: Hero Motocorp posted a 14% year-on-year increase in standalone net profit to ₹1,203.54 crore in the September quarter. The company that manufactures Harley Davidson in India had an operational revenue of ₹10,463 crore in the quarter jumping 11% from the previous year.
In the previous year, the company posted a ₹1,053.81 crore net profit and ₹9,445.42 revenue.
The numbers beat Dalal Street’s expectations of ₹10,225 crore in revenue and ₹1,148.90 crore in profit. Analysts expected the company to post decent growth on the back of growing volume and higher average selling price.

Hero Motocorp recently posted its highest-ever retail sales in the 32-day festive season sale from Navratri. The company in this festive season had a sale of 15.98 lakh units, increasing by 13% from the previous year’s festive season.
The Harley Davidson X440 models achieved sales of 2,800 units in the period. The X440 model is the first premium motorcycle to be introduced under the licensing agreement between Hero Motocorp and Harley Davidson.
Price Action: Shares of Hero Motocorp closed 1.87% higher at ₹4,604 on Thursday.
