RVNL Sees FY25 Revenue At ₹23,000 Cr, Orderbook Stands At ₹92,000 Cr

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited maintains a positive outlook for the second half of FY25, the company’s Director of Finance Sanjeeb Kumar said.

What Happened: In an interview with ET Now, Kumar said that the company is confident about hitting a topline of ₹22,000 crore to ₹23,000 crore in FY25. He expects EDITDA margins to do much better in the coming quarters.

His comments come after RVNL reported dismal results in the second quarter of FY25. the company’s consolidated net profit declined 27.12% to ₹286.89 crore whereas the railway major's revenue fell 1.2% to ₹4,854.95 crore. The numbers missed the street's estimates for the company.

Kumar said that the firm’s total order book at the end of the quarter stood at about ₹92,000 crore. Of this, orders worth  ₹38,000 crore were acquired through bidding processes. In Q1, the firm’s order book stood at ₹83,221 crore.

The company continues to see the maximum momentum from the railways from which it still holds orders worth about ₹53,040 crore. It will take around three to four years to complete the orders, he said. Metro project work picked up in the quarter and it remains to be one of the firm’s most important sectors, Kumar added.

On the other hand, the Vande Bharat prototype is seeing a delay due to changes in requirements, the director said. In August, the company informed about the delay due to revisions in design and cost

RVNL has a cautious outlook for Bangladesh but sees Maldives work to pick up pace.

Price Action: RVNL’s shares tanked 5.56% to trade at ₹451.30 on Friday afternoon.
