Voltas reported its earnings for the quarter ended September just after market close on Tuesday.
What Happened: The consumer durables company’s net profit for the quarter under review stood at ₹134 crore, a 265% increase from the ₹36.7 crore posted in the same quarter last year.
The company's revenue from operations went up 14.3% year-on-year, to ₹2,619 crore, compared to the ₹2,292 crore posted in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. EBITDA for the quarter was at ₹152 crore with an EBITDA margin of 5.8%
The company’s revenue was in line with street estimates, but profit was ahead of expectations. On average, analysts expected the company to post a revenue of ₹2,619 crore with a net profit of ₹121 crore. EBITDA was seen at ₹149 crore.

Unitary Cooling Products segment’s revenue for the September quarter was ₹1,582.19 crore, a 31% increase from ₹1,208.80 crore in the same quarter last year.
“Voltas remains the market leader in both Split and Window Air-conditioners, boasting an exit market share of 21% as of September 2024,” the company said in a press release.
Revenue from the electro-mechanical projects and services stood at ₹879.91 crore in the September quarter, slightly down from ₹924.19 crore in the same quarter last year.
Price Action: Voltas’ share price was up 0.47% to close ₹1,770.60 on Tuesday.
