BSE Chairperson Pramod Agrawal has resigned from his position, the company said in a press release on Friday.
What Happened: Agrawal has tendered his resignation as the chairperson and public interest director of BSE Limited, with immediate effect from November 8, the company said in an exchange filing.
His departure comes due to a potential conflict with a new assignment that he has received, Agrawal said in his resignation letter. On November 6, he was appointed as an additional director at Tata Steel for a term of five years.

From December 11, Agrawal will also serve as the chairperson and member of the stakeholders' relationship committee and member of the audit committee and the safety, health and environment committee at the Tata Group firm.
Additionally, he serves as a director at Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services where he is also the chairperson of the audit committee and member of the stakeholder relationship committee. Agrawal is also a director at Century Plyboards India.
He was appointed as BSE’s chairperson in 2023 before which he held the position of CMD in Coal India. Agrawal completed his B.Tech in civil engineering from IIT Mumbai and his M.Tech in design engineering from IIT Delhi in 1988. He has over 30 years of administrative experience as an IAS officer.
