Social media platform Reddit has been hit by a global outage. Users across different platforms have reported access issues.

What Happened: The outage was not confined to a particular region, with users from all over the globe reporting difficulties. Both the website and app versions of Reddit were affected, causing disruptions in the user experience.

Desktop users saw the error message “no healthy upstream”, while mobile users were told the issue was related to “upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. Reset reason: connection failure”.

Downdetector saw over 200 reports being registered claiming the social media was down. Users from Mumbai, Delhi, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai reported problems from India across the morning according to Downdetector’s data.

Users took to social media platform X to talk about Reddit’s outage.

The service was reportedly restored after the outage in the afternoon.
