Tata Group and Analog Devices have announced a strategic alliance. The partnership aims to explore potential joint opportunities in the semiconductor ecosystem in India.

What Happened: The Tata Group and Nasdaq-listed Analog Devices made the announcement on Wednesday. The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance strategic and business cooperation and to explore opportunities for semiconductor manufacturing in India.

The alliance also includes using ADI’s products in Tata applications such as electric vehicles and network infrastructure. N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, and Vincent Roche, CEO at ADI, both expressed their enthusiasm about the joint venture.

The alliance is expected to be mutually beneficial and is seen as a significant step in establishing a robust electronics manufacturing ecosystem in India for both domestic and global consumption. As part of the agreement, Tata Electronics and ADI will explore opportunities to manufacture ADI’s products in Tata Electronics’ fab in Gujarat and OSAT in Assam.
