Despite the absence of a wow factor, pre-orders for Apple's AAPL sold out in less than one hour on Friday, according to Tech Crunch. The pre-order sale began at 3:01am ET Friday morning. By contrast, the iPhone 4 and 4s each took about 20 hours to accomplish the same fete. Apple reported the phones would be available to ship in 2 weeks.
