MSCI made its official announcement for index rebalancing on Thursday morning.
What Happened: BSE, Voltas, Kalyan Jewellers, Oberoi Realties and Alkem Laboratories have been included in the MSCI Global Standard index.
Among the entrants, Voltas is expected to see the highest amount of inflows with Nuvama projecting a $312 million (around ₹2,629 crore). BSE might see a $259 million (around ₹2,182 crore) inflow.
Kalyan Jewellers might get $241 million (around ₹2,030 crore) while Oberoi Realties could see $215 million (around ₹1,811 crore) and Alkem Laboratories might get $204 million (around ₹1,719 crore).
Other highlights from the rejig include HDFC Bank's weightage increase in the index. The private lender's weight will be increased in a second tranche after the first tranche of weight increase was announced in August.

According to Nuvama, HDFC Bank will see $1.9 billion (around ₹15,759 crore) inflows following the announcement.
Apart from HDFC Bank, the weightage of Tata Power, JSW Energy, Samvardhana Motherson, Jindal Steel and Power, PB Fintech and APL Apollo Tubes will increase in the Global Standard index.
Adani Green Energy, GMR Airports Infra and Adani Power will their weightage decrease in the index after adjusting for free float in the stocks.
The index rejig will also decrease the weightage of Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Infosys, TCS, and Bharti Airtel.
Nuvama added that with the rejig, India's weightage will increase to 19.8% from 19.3%. India might see $2.5 billion(around ₹21,068 crore) of FII inflows after the adjustment, the research firm added.
