The joint venture (JV) between Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and Rithwik Projects Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL) has been announced as the lowest bidder for a significant rail infrastructure project in Karnataka.
What Happened: RVNL disclosed on November 5, 2024, that the JV has emerged as the lowest bidder for the “Package C4A: Construction of Nine Stations” project from Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited (K-RIDE).
The project, part of the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP), involves the construction of nine stations, including one elevated and eight at-grade stations, along with other civil and structural works.

The project is to be completed within 24 months, with an estimated cost of ₹613 crore. RVNL holds a 51% share in the JV, while RPPL holds the remaining 49%.
This announcement comes as the latest in a series of successful bids by RVNL. RVNL, in a joint venture with SCPL, was declared the lowest bidder for an Eastern Railway project valued at ₹837 crore, holding a 74% stake in the JV. Earlier, RVNL also emerged as the lowest bidder for a ₹625 crore EPC contract with South Central Railway to double the track between Parbhani and Parli in Maharashtra.
A consortium led by RVNL, along with HFCL Limited and Aerial Telecom Solutions Pvt. Ltd., was announced as the lowest bidder for a massive INR 5,000 crore project from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
