Shriram Finance topped the chart with a significant rise of 5.39%, ending the session at ₹3259.30.

Adani Enterprises followed with a strong gain of 3.91%. Other leading gainers like ICICI Bank, Eicher Motors, and Wipro also posted substantial increases. ICICI Bank gained after posting strong Q2 results.

Conversely, Coal India experienced the largest decline, dropping 4.22% to ₹441.65.

Other stocks such as Bajaj Auto and Axis Bank also saw declines in the session. Kotak Mahindra Bank and Hero Motocorp also fell 1.07% and 0.91% declines in the session respectively.

Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Financial Services said, “The market exhibited a rebound after continuous selloff last week. Positive results from banks and a slump in oil prices in expectation of an ease in retaliations in the Middle East aided investor sentiment. Stability in the broad-based rally requires more evidence from earnings, which are currently in the doldrums of weak demand and margin pressure. We expect companies with a less leveraged balance sheet and growth prospects to outperform when the market stabilizes.”
