Tata Power and Singapore-based Keppel have announced a strategic partnership to launch Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) solutions in the country.
What Happened: Tata Power Trading Company Limited (TPTCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited (Tata Power), and Keppel, a Singapore-based global asset manager and operator, have teamed up to introduce sustainable CaaS solutions in India. This move aligns with India’s Cooling Action Plan (ICAP) and its Smart Cities Mission.
The CaaS model allows businesses and building owners to subscribe to long-term, energy-efficient cooling solutions without heavy infrastructure investment, leading to significant energy and cost savings. The collaboration between Tata Power and Keppel will primarily target high-demand environments such as airports, IT parks, Special Economic Zones, data centres, and other industrial and commercial properties.

Earlier this month, Tata Power secured a 35-year power transmission project from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited.
Price Action: Tata Power’s share price was down 0.091% to trade at ₹437.30 on Thursday afternoon.
