For those planning to buy fire crackers for Diwali this year, Credofly, a credit card comparing website, has cheekily suggested checking out Ola Electric’s website.

What Happened: Taking a jibe at the recent consumer complaints at the electric scooter maker, Credofly recommended that a social media user looking for websites to buy fireworks should check out Ola Electric.

The post drew varying reactions from users from memes to people expressing surprise. One user remarked “burn” to which the account replied, “auto burn in this case”. Others replied asking for a cheaper alternative.

Credofly’s reaction comes after several customers reported instances of their Ola Electric scooters catching fire and several other issues. The internet is filled with user complaints and reviews critiquing the company for poor after sales service with complaints reportedly rising to as much as 80,000 a month.

Customers have been left distressed, and last month, a disgruntled Ola customer set the company's showroom on fire in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi city after not receiving support for his newly purchased vehicle. The customer reportedly approached the company several times but was dissatisfied with their response.

Earlier this month, the company was served a showcase notice by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) accusing it of violating consumer rights, running misleading advertisements and unfair trade practices.
