TCS Partners With McDonald's Philippines To Digitise Over 760 Outlets

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has inked a two-year deal with Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC), the master franchisee of fast-food chain McDonald’s in the Philippines.

What Happened: TCS has partnered with the franchisee to overhaul the IT infrastructure of more than 760 McDonald’s restaurants across the country, the company said in a press release on Wednesday.

As part of the deal, TCS will migrate the existing systems of GADC to the cloud, thereby standardising and digitising the operations of the fast-food giant. This marks TCS’s maiden venture with McDonald’s in the Asia-Pacific region.

Margot Torres, Managing Director at GADC, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that the partnership with TCS represents another milestone in their ongoing digital transformation. The implementation will enhance their agility through data-driven insights, enabling them to continuously improve both customer and employee experiences.

The upgrade is expected to result in higher efficiency, optimised operating costs, digital transformation, innovation, enhanced franchisee experience, improved process optimisation and workforce productivity.
