Bitcoin BTC/USD traded slightly lower, with the cryptocurrency prices trading below the key $44,000 level on Friday.
Ethereum ETH/USD, meanwhile, moved higher, trading above the key $2,300 mark this morning.
Optimism OP/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Sei SEI/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.
Core PCE prices in the U.S. rose by 0.1% from the prior month in November. When energy and food are excluded from the overall PCE basket, core PCE inflation eased to 3.2% year-on-year, down from 3.5% a month earlier and below the expected 3.3%.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.66 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 0.8%. BTC was trading lower by 0.1% at $43,739 while ETH rose by around 3.3% to $2,304 on Friday.
